About Us

After nearly seven years of world travel, it became obvious one location in particular would have a huge impact and would continue to lure us to return again and again.

The beautiful island of Bali Indonesia is populated with genuine friendly people, who produce amazing hand crafted products. It only seemed fitting to continue traveling to this amazing destination and introduce these products to others throughout the world at reasonable prices. All though Bali is our main supplier of fine goods we do travel on buying trips to other destinations such as Thailand, the Philippines and other developing countries.

We are proud to offer a variety of original items from jewellery, handbags, clothing and home decor.

With multiple buying trips each year, we are able to bring a steady supply of new products, which are produced and purchased following strict responsible buying practices.

Our Mission to supply fair trade goods

Our products are purchased from independent artist and family owned and operated businesses. Uluwatu Imports purchases all products at fair trade.

We believe in small business values and ethics, Uluwatu Imports avoids large wholesalers who may pay unfair prices by leveraging their bulk buying purchasing power.

Adequate cash deposits allow our suppliers to comfortably purchase the materials needed, without having to use high interest lenders.  It is not uncommon in developing countries for artisans to resort to corrupt money lenders paying exhorbant interest rates of a minimum 10% percent and higher on a 30 day bases.

Continually working closely with the same suppliers insures that our goods are of a high standard and we can monitor that the individuals we deal with share the same important value as us. Long term business allows small businesses to comfortably grow and develop their talents.

By following these buying practices we are able to spread the wealth among many more individuals struggling in developing countries, while still guarantying excellent quality and craftsmanship.

As our organization grows we will never lose sight of what matters most, improving the lives of others abroad by operating our own business in a social and ethical manner.

Do you have an organization that is operating in a social and ethical manner in your community or abroad?
